New Spark Plug Wires = Noticible Gain

I finally got all of them in and took it for a ride. In my opinion, the car is faster. I don't know if I'm just imaining it, but I think it is;). I got the Taylor "409" wires, which are identical to the Thundervolts, 10.4mm. They were a challenge to get in. Had to get under the car to get to one on the #8 cylinder.

At mid-upper RPM's it seems to pull harder, like it does at lower RPM's. I love it!!! Maybe one of my old ones was bad??? Whatever it was, I'm very happy, even though I drove my car off the ramps and spent hours fixing stuff:rolleyes:

K/A dood! I put the same wires on my car. Unfortunately I only have 6 out 8 done. :( need to get the rest done soon. Did you change the plugs? If so, to what?

Weird thing for me is that I noticed a downgrade in my gas mileage. Don't know if it has something to do with the 2 remaining plugs that haven't been changed. :(

Ferocity02 do you run these wires on a stock ignition set up? just wondering.

As far as I know the ignition is fully stock, except for the plug wires of course. How do I know if my plugs are new. By the way, I did not change them. I saw some text of the side of the plugs when installing them. Not sure it that means anything

i just wondered because those are some beefy wires you got there. I thought about geting a set, nut ever since the bosche platinm incident i just use stock replacements.

As far as I know, there isn't any modifications that can be done to the ignition, except plugs and wires. I don't think there are any replacement coils but I don't know.

i will probably do the plugs if I do another major install like headers, cam, or heads.

that's awesome!

as for me, my MSD wires and NGK's didn't seem to add anything.

seemed to make the idle smoother, but that's all
