It was GM 's name for the non-performance model Camaro for a few years. A Girl's car at the time and not PC now.:p :p

so the "berlenetta" was just a fancy name for the plain jane so to speak of camaro's? no fancy supension or engine or anything:(

to be completely honest with you the main reason i am looking at is because it is so cheap, 500 bucks (can.) with new floor pans, paint, rear shocks and rebuilt tranny. i do agree with thatt it is not as attractive as say a z-28 but i wouldn't go as far as to say ugly (although everyone is entitled to there opinion)

actually some of them cam with a pretty bitchin digital dash that moved! they are either 305 cars or 2.8 cars from the factory and like was said have no gfxs and some ugly ass rims.

just out of my own curiosity were all of the dimensions the same for the berlinetta as the other camaros? if so the thing would be worth it for sure if you put on a ground effects package and some new rims. and if its only got the v6 in it id really want to do an engine swap. couldnt imagine driving a camaro with anything other then a v8 (actually a v10 might be kind of fun  )

It's worth $500 just as a straight body. You can always put GFX and new wheels on it and swap in a 383 and no one will ever know it started life as a bottom-of-the-line car with a really bad name.

Just to let you know, the Berlinetta digital dash does not go higher than 85mph. At 85mph it will start to flash. Car will go faster but speedo stops at 85.
My friends was fully optioned. just no gfx or spoiler.

this paticular one has no digi dash but does have the classc camaro "lip" spoiler, it also has "t" tops, V6, i don not belive it has the original wheels(i could be wrong i can't find picks) and a kind of fake gfx in the form of a silver/gray bar along the bottom

for 500 bucks canadian it sounds like a deal and a half but beware, from all of my experiences if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Since your in canada how badly rusted is the thing? if theres some body rust its not too bad because that stuff can be replaced but if the frame is all rusted out i wouldnt buy it. the thing would still be okay but usually if you take the time to find one without rust it will thank you a million times over. It also depends if its going to be your winter car then rust on the frame might not be that big of a deal. Either way if its a good car itd definitly be worth it and then id do a rebuild, new engine, gfx etc.

BTW where in canada are you? i live just outside of toronto.

thank you for your concern but i know the seller very well (my brother in-law) which is probably why i am get such a good deal. as far as rust the frame is excelent the body has the common wheel well rust but not bad. the engine i am not sure but i also didn't know there was an option. i am contemplating putting in a 305 v8 but am unsure as to the cost since i have to pay for school room and board etc. but if it is cheap enough i might go for it.

i am located in nothern manitoba
