Well, having no luck locating a rear near me.
so i emailed Moser (guess the company is still going forward with the loss of Rob??) and Currie.
I feel a Dana 60 and 9" rear are over kill for my needs of the car. Any other rear end specialty shops i should consider?

I'd prefer something on the east coast, to help lower shipping costs.
I've heard great things about Moser rear ends.

Only problem is i wasn't really looking forward to spending this much $$ on a rear, but since i can't find something trustworthy here, i may just have to suck it up.

I have a 12 bolt out of my 70 SS w/ 4.11 gears (not the original rear end). The spider gears were welded together by the idiot that owned the car before me, but it works great. I drove it off and on like that for 10 years. I needed my car to run on the highway so I found a great deal on a 8.5" posi rear w/ 3.08 and disk breaks so I took it out.

It may be cheaper to buy it off me, ship it and get it reworked if you want. I'd take $400 for it. Area code where it would be shipped from is 74464. Check it out if you want and let me know if you're interested. I've seen them sell for much more with only 3 series carriers and gears.

An 8.5" ten bolt with 30 spline Eaton posi, good axles, ford ends (eliminate the 'c' clips) and a stud girdle can hold a lot of torque.
