Why does my alarm beep twice sometimes and once other timesMarky82 05-28-2003, 01:15 AM When I arm my alarm with my keypad usually my horn chirps twice but sometimes it will only chirp once? What the heck could be the problem   PaulN64 05-28-2003, 11:08 AM what kind of alarm do you have? Marky82 05-28-2003, 11:21 AM Sorry I have the factory alarm for a 1997 Camaro OctaneZ28 05-29-2003, 01:05 AM Mine does that too. Ever since I installed the subwoofer in my trunk, it only beeps once when i arm the stock alarm. Every once in a while it'll beep twice, but it's rare. ...only one of my horns works too, but it's been like that since I bought it. Unrelated issue anyway. BMC95TA 05-29-2003, 01:27 AM perhaps its not arming all the zones? I know on aftermarket you can designate certain amounts of beeps etc. to say what all is alrming. Or when you disarm certain numbers of beeps mean certain zones went off while the alarm was on. Have you tried to reset your alarm? To reset you have to hold down certain buttons on the remote, I'm not sure which ones I'm sure if you do a search it will come up. Good luck Kimchee & Rice 05-29-2003, 02:25 PM I can only tell you about the stock 98 alarm system. If both doors are unlocked when you get out of the car and you press the lock button on your remote, you will get the horn to beep twice indicating it's locking [both] doors and setting the alarm. Now, lets say someone got out of the pass. side along with you. That person then locked his door when getting out. Now you push the lock button on the remote. The horn only beeps once because it is only locking one door and setting the alarm. Ron, | ||
