Well, since I am a Zaino advocate, whenever I polish my car I only use the 100% cotton applicator pads that Sal sells. As far as washing goes, the white "Super-soft Chenille" Viking Wash Mits are the only way to go.

Meguiars make their own 100% Cotton polishing towels, I found em in K-mart, and I live in Australia, So I am sure they have them in the US http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif
But to apply, I use their foam applicators..

If you don't use a liquid wax or zaino (I've researched this and I use "wax" and not zaino but that's another issue altogether) try using your hand to apply carnuba wax. Otherwise, use a terry cloth pad/applicator.

When I used to use Meguiar's GC, the plain 100% cotton applicators always worked well. As long are you're not using some sort of synthetic or blend, you're not like;y to create more scratches or swirls. Sheep skin has been known to cause scratching if it's poor quality, but you usually cant go wrong with 100% cotton. http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif
