Fastest heads/cam stock bottom end LT1 times what are they?LTOne4Fun 05-26-2003, 11:18 PM I knwo a locla guy has been 11.teens with stock LT4 heads adn a hyd cam. What are the fastest ones out, what cam and what raceweight? AutoRoc 05-27-2003, 12:06 AM Much deeper than 11.teens:D A Guy here in Michigan will chime in with his results soon probably. Joes94TA 05-27-2003, 10:37 PM I have a funny feeling the guy in Michigan knows the guy ltone4fun is speaking of..;) LTOne4Fun 05-27-2003, 10:48 PM Alright Joe, whose the guy in MI. Steve is from MI right, but he not stock bottom end. Joes94TA 05-27-2003, 10:52 PM Jeff he used to be I believe ran some 10.5's if i remember right...he may post up and enlighten you..hes now 370 ci. and tappin on 9's chevyguy3 05-28-2003, 03:27 PM back when it was my only car and everyday driver i did an 11.34 @ 121 NA on a stock bottom end with a cc306. 3600lbs, no dyno tune Redbird 05-29-2003, 11:37 AM ...bottom end is just that! Factory crank, rods and pistons and at factory cubic inch! Except as noted Heads and CAMSHAFT. A 370 c.i. engine is a STROKER! The bottom end starts at and is lower than the block in it's entirety. I think he is Mr. Quinn if I am guessing correctly. Steve may well hold the record for a STOCK bottom end car, also! LTOne4Fun 05-29-2003, 10:02 PM i think joe was refering to when steve had a stock bottom end it went 10.50 its been i think 10.0s with 370 ci threadedtire 06-02-2003, 02:06 AM My times are in the sig. Not the fastest though AutoRoc 06-02-2003, 02:19 AM Originally posted by LTOne4Fun i think joe was refering to when steve had a stock bottom end it went 10.50 its been i think 10.0s with 370 ci Yeah that's all I know about his combo. Hopefully he's seen 9's already. He mentioned that the car is hooking a LOT harder now also. In the 1.35 range vs. a 1.40 range last year. Wheels up rocks..:D Redbird 06-02-2003, 10:07 AM I can say he has NOT run a 9 second run yet on the 370" N/A engine, but... is getting pretty close! Car wheelies NICE and leaves hard, straight and high! :thumb: Heard a few Ohhs and Ahhs from the crowd when he launched! He was probably in the top five in wheelstands yesterday! Would have liked to be behind him once to see how close he is getting to that bumper! ACTUALLY... I WAS once, but I was up next, so I was concentrating on my own sh*t. HInk :) Joes94TA 06-02-2003, 09:21 PM with the determination he has,he'll get the 9 hes after I'm sure... meengreen 94z 10-10-2004, 01:45 PM Sorry to bring this from the dead. But does anyone know who holds the record(fastest NA heads/cam stock bottomend) and what their E/T was? lt1camaroman93 10-10-2004, 06:58 PM thats what i want to know. I also want to know what the fastest stock head, stock bottom end NA car is. Frank95z 10-10-2004, 07:54 PM I have stock lt1 heads, stock bottomend na and I've run 11.40 116.59 in 60 degree weather. Steve Stump ran 11.94 with stockheads, stock cam and stock bottomend. Both of our cars are street cars not stock eliminater cars.If I can get some cooler air before the end of racing season i hope to run some high 11.20's or low 30's with my stock head combo. Frank95z neil350 10-11-2004, 11:13 PM I think Quinn still holds the record for fastest H/C LT1, it was a 10.some thing. | ||
