Anyone in South east mass give me a hand?

In a few weeks i'll be picking up some Hooker long tubes and Really don't want to pay a shop to install it. (won't be able to afford it) If their is anyone locally that could possibly give me a hand, I could pay you! I would appreciate it.

>I had Hooker #2231 Long tubes and my car would not pass emissions that was with EGR tubes welded on and O2 bungs too . So I went and bought Edelbrock TES shorties and pass with flying colors .
I now have the Jet Hot long tubes so I will have to see how this goes .
As for the install you may need to use a jack with a block of wood (just make sure you have a sturdy platform under your jack) .

I moved to Taunton from E. Bridgewater last month. I would give you a hand, but I am in the midst of my heads/headers install and all the new crap that comes with buying a first home! I am lucky to spend 2 hours a week on the Z. And worst of all, I cracked my oil pan last night! :mad:

hehe. I got a feeling you'll get yours done before mine. 2 hours a week doesnt get alot accomplished. :o :( :cry:

sorry to hear about your oil pan. I should be looking for a house in about a year! can't wait.

I probably won't have the headers for another month or so. I just asked tbyrne motorosports and they're all booked :mad: they were gonna charge me 450 for the install. which isn't that bad i don't think. Anybody know any local shops that could install headers? reputable of course :D

I'll try him as a last resort. I'm going to give ACS racing a try in hanover. A guy I work with knows the owners. That might help me out a bit

I dont like to badmouth anyone, but they burned one of my plug wires while I was on the dyno. They then prceeded to tell me they think my coil was shot. I get home and sure enough they laid my wire on the header when they hooked up the probe for spark.

Wow. sorry to hear about that. I just came back from giving them a visit. they gave me a price of aleast a $1000 to install the long tubes :cry: Right now I don't know where to go. I don't think I could do it myself, and tybrne is booked until the end of the summer.

$1000 is a RIP OFF. new england dyno (dont quote me on this) i thin does em in the $3-400 range.......id HIGHLY recommend them.

I'll give dean a call and see if he can fit me in. I knew 1000 is a rip off, But ACS charges 100 an hour :eek: I didn't think shops had rates that high.

How many miles on the engine?

Do you still have stock manifolds and y-pipe?

Is this your daily driver or can you leave it somewhere for a week.

My buddy who helped me install my headers said he might be interested in doing your headers for a fair price. The only problem is that if your bolts are all rusted out then he'll need a torch (he doesnt want to go that route though). So depending on your answers he might be interested. He teaches at that automotive school in Boston. He also used to be a mechanic at a Ford dealership.

The car has 60,xxx miles on her. she still has her stock manifolds and she is my daily driver :cry: I'd be grateful if he could help out. Nedyno gave me a price between 400 and 600. hopefully closer to the 400 :D If this could be done in a weekend then I could make arrangements since I usually have the weekend off from work.

He would charge you about 500 because he needs to use his uncle's shop and most likely use the torch. I'd go with NEDYNO in that case.

not necessarelly, Would he be closer than Nedyno? if he's gonna charge the same amount and I wouldn't have to drive as far then. I could use your friend! aslong as it could be done on the weekend
