I recently installed a 00 ls1 longblock in my 01 Bird and well went to the 1/8 track to test it out and boy what a yuck. :o.Ran some not so good times.

reaction -- 0.740

These runs were on 2.73's and a a4.My car is completly stock. Now how Much are these 2.73's keeping me from the 8.'s?
Im looking to get some 4.11's or 3.73's and a converter.Im looking for 7.9's or Consecutive 8.0's.Whats the route I should take? Also what are you guys running on your stock cars with 2.73's?

Well, the gears aren't doing you any favors, but your car seems to be down on power for an LS1. What elevation are you at?Stock LT1s with 2.73s have 77mph traps... I'd check the motor before doing anything else.:(

I too would suggest checking the motor. My LT1 when stock with 2.73s went a best of 8.8 @ 80 in the 1/8 and 13.6 @ 102 in the 1/4. The 2.73s aren't the reason why you are going so slow. I've seen 2.73'd stock LS1s run anywhere from 13.3-13.7, with 1/8 ETs well into the 8s.

A 9.3 sounds like what a ragged out LT1 would run...

Also, what is the elavation? If you're way up there:D that could be part of the reason.
