new paint job...when can i wax it

the the hood, bumper cover, both front fenders are getting painted. how long after do i have to wait before i can wax them.
the car is a red 97 z

If it is base coat/clear coat, wait one to two weeks.

I was thinking about getting that done to my car because the front bumper is peeling and paint is cracking.What did they charge you for that job?

I heard from a auto body guy that you should wait at least 3 months. And I heard from another guy that you should wait 5 months. I dont know who to trust. So when I got my car repainted I waited 3 1/2 months. Of course my car was in storage for 3 1/2 months, so it didnt get harmfull chemicals or UV rays hitting it.
