Tuning for stall ?s

Hello, I'm very new to tuning and need some help. I have a heads and cam LT1 and need some help setting up the tranny tables. I've been told that the 58mm affects the tranny. Is there any truth to this? I also have a vig 3600 and need to set things up so that I am seeing all of the benefits. Oh yeah, I have OBD2 LT1 edit.
