Foglight Electronic Question?

When I bought my car, it came with no foglights, but it does have the actual harnesses just there and in the inside where the switch is supposed to be, it just have a black cover, but it has wires running into it. Can I buy some aftermarket ones and just splice the wires on each of the harnesses, then get the switch from GM and use that to control them? On my 93 I had aftermarket, but they were completely seperated from everything with ugly switches on the side. I want to avoid that. Any ideas? Don't know if this the right forum, but it said electronics.

Don't know that I can directly answer your question - but maybe this will help.

I setup aftermarket fog's in my car for a while and ran them off the stock wiring with the stock switch without any problems what so ever. I just spliced the aftermarket fog light wires into the stock wiring harness and let it go at that.

Although this was on a '94 model - I suppose it would be the same for you. It sounds like you are just a switch and a set of lights away.
