My now 22-year old '79 Camaro Z28 Aluminum rims have 22 years of brakedust caked up on them, and I've tried every cleaner i can get my hands on, but to no evail. There any hardcore blasting or something I can do to clean then up to like new?

I use Meguier's Hot Rims. Comes in a pink/purple spray bottle and took off brake dust that I couldnt get off with anything else. It was on there a while too...

You just spray the solution on dry wheels, let them sit for 2 minutes, and rinse them off.... most of the dust will come off, the rest will be loosened up enough to come off with soap and water...

I tried to get one of those Flux-Capacitors off of him too, but all I ended up getting was a shiny bomb-casing filled with used pinball machine parts. http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

I second Meguires Hot Rims. I just tried it for the first time last weekend and it worked great. Didn't need to scrub at all!
