If budget is a concern, skip the Z-5 (the most expensive product) and get Z-1,2,6,and 7 also skipping the clay bar, maybe you already have a clay bar?

What is the clay bar for?

With minor scratches, don't you think I should have Z-5?

how about Z1, Z2, Z5? I really don't see myself using this spray. Not a show car, just a weekend driver.

The detail spray is what is probably used the most by folks, it is for me. It helps eliminate the static and make the surface slicker and shinier and is great for in between washings. The Z-7 wash has a small amount of polish in it and helps keep the shine looking its best. If you are wanting to fill in swirls, get the Z-5 polish, then later if you want, get the Z-2, they are both a polish. The Z-18 clay bar is a must for prepping the surface of the car properly, removing all contaminants and getting back to the original smooth surface.

The prep work is essential to getting the best results. You will also need to wash the car with Dawn to remove any old wax on it first as well.
