what is in dawn that makes it so good at removing the old wax from previous wax jobs on our cars? also..if my car's exterior has always been treated like s*it up to now..can zaino really revive it and make it look like a brand new z?

Dawn is high in alkaline, which strips wax and oils.

Zaino is a great final finish, but if your car is really bad you will probably have to smooth out the paint with a mild abrasive like 3M Swirl Mark Remover part number 39009.

Are you also going to ask me why is the sky blue and why is it hotter in the summer than in the winter http://web.camaross.com/bb/biggrin.gif

alkaline: Of, relating to, or containing an alkali.

Having a pH greater than 7.
Having a relatively low concentration of hydrogen ions.

alkali: One of a class of caustic bases, such as soda, potash, ammonia, and lithia, whose distinguishing peculiarities are solubility in alcohol and water, uniting with oils and fats to form soap, neutralizing and forming salts with acids, turning to brown several vegetable yellows, and changing reddened litmus to blue

Because of something called the Tyndall effect... Basically saying that blue light is more easily refracted by molecules in the air more so than the other colors of the spectrum.

The summer thing is basically because of the position of the earth in relation to the sun between 2 of the 4 equinoxes (spelling?) During the winter the northern hemisphere leans away from the sun (24 degrees). In the summer the northern hemisphere leans towards it (24 degrees) giving it longer and more direct sun exposure (thus making it warmer). The more south you are (to the equator) the more "constant" things become (for example in rain forests) because this area is less affected by changes in the axis. For example. Take a pencile and balance it on your finer. Pretending the equator is the pencil and the north pole is the eraser and the south pole is the point. Now tilt the pencil in either direction... The ends farthest from the equator have the most "change" in position, but the center of the pencil is not as greatly affected by this change.

Now before everyone says "no no the pencile is a bad example" I realize the world isnt a straight plane and all that jazz. It was just the easier demonstration I could think of to explain why the equator stays hot in relation to the rest of the world.
