Pedals for the camaro like the ones on corvette???Highlander 05-19-2003, 09:34 AM All I have seen are like overlays or something... I want the complete pedals in aluminum.. where to get them?? Pics?? can the corvette ones be installed??? LMK Thanks iamsparc 05-19-2003, 03:16 PM I wouldn't mind knowing this either. I don't really wanna do an overlay either. :D -Mike Highlander 05-19-2003, 03:29 PM Exactly TK 14 SS 05-19-2003, 05:57 PM Try this... Sullivan Racing Products (SRP) (http://www.srpracing.com/page19.html) Troy djk19 05-19-2003, 11:58 PM That is an overlay kit too. The whole pedal assembly in our cars work but just get the jobh done. there is so much slack in my pedal assembly it sucks. I allways wanted a tight throttle feel. The arms on my neighbors veete are fully aluminum as wlel as the small beefy pedals. As if they were one machined arm/pedal piece of billet aluminum or cast at that... :metal: 97droptopZ 05-20-2003, 06:58 PM i dont know what the vette ones look like but mba has some although 120 bucks is a bit expensive http://www.mbaproducts.com/interior.htm Highlander 05-21-2003, 12:17 AM THey are overlays 97droptopZ 05-21-2003, 12:41 AM no... take a look at the more detailed pics on that page, it shows how the original pedal was removed and that one was put on. plus, i would think 1" thick overlays might be a bit uncomfortable iamsparc 05-22-2003, 03:44 PM  NO, those ARE overlays. They bolt on AROUND the old pedal. I mean...you may actually take off the old rubber portion of the old pedal, but that's it, if that. Someone really does need to make an entire pedal replalcement or some way to get a tighter feel out of these pedals... -Mike djk19 05-22-2003, 04:34 PM :metal: Right on. Thats what I'm saying. And it doens't look like it would be that big of a deal. LOKAR sells a nice billet gas pedal so an assembly that would just bolt into a stock camaro could be easy to make....;) Severous01 05-23-2003, 10:20 AM go to the junk yard and pull the pedal assembly from a vette...bolt it up and then youre done. it all has the gm hookups. Highlander 05-23-2003, 12:27 PM That is all I wanted to know.. my car says corvette on the brake callipers.. It has original ZR1 wheels with Corvette centercaps... now it will have corvette pedals.. jaja.. the corvette wannabe :D Well.. I think the camaro is the paupers corvette.. I think brokenz 05-27-2003, 05:02 AM Originally posted by Severous01 go to the junk yard and pull the pedal assembly from a vette...bolt it up and then youre done. it all has the gm hookups. Have you done this? If so what year was the donor? You sure you are still hitting 100% throttle opening? This really sounds interesting to me. I love pulling parts off of wrecked cars. :D 97FormulaWS-6 05-27-2003, 09:01 AM Uhm... I'd like to see someone remove a Vette setup.... And attach it to a camaro... seeing it's a DRVIE-BY-WIRE system... which means the gas pedal doesn't even connect to the motor.... It could be done.. but it's take someone whoe has some pretty good electronics knowledge to do the conversion. Not to mention either modifying the Vette TB setup, or making a custom drive setup for their own car. Hmmm... sounds like a possible future idea.... Highlander 05-27-2003, 09:03 AM All you want from the vette is the clutch and brake... the accelerator is the regular one... iamsparc 05-27-2003, 09:20 AM It all sounds to me like too much of a hassle. :p Thinkin srpracing.com pedals for me. :) | ||
