Is there anyway to check if a shock sensor is bad

Sometimes my car alarm (factory alarm) will go off for no reason....its used to do this alot but then I took the sensor out for awhile and reinstalled it and it hasn't done it since. Is there a way to scan the sensor something to see if its bad?

was it by any chance raining b4 it went off or during? Ive heard that water gets some part of it, (I Think the horN) and causes it to go off , it used tohappen to mine, so I switched to a program without the sensor, then a couple months later switched it back, and it works beautifully

Nope wasn't raining or wet before or during when the alarm kept going off
