Ok my girlfriend has a new ford focus :( , and the headlights are those blue lights and they are bright as hell at night, I love them, I was wondering what are the best ones to get? I see them all over ebay for like ten bucks, but that seems to good to be true since I also seen some at ls1speed.com for $80 a pair, and I was also wondering if they have them in just white? not the bue tint.

I'll second the Silverstars! :thumb:

I just bought a pair today and put them in. I did one side to compare stock halogen vs. Silverstars. I can honestly say the Silverstars give a very crisp and very white light. They don't give off that fake bluish color...just a pure white light.

I paid $20 per bulb at AutoZone and there is a $10 rebate on Sylvania's website. There is also a website link there that shows Silverstar side-by-side with standard halogen.

Try them out...they won't set you back too much if you don't like them and you don't have to do sealed-beam like me...I'm sure you'll like them though.

Sylvania Silverstars...
Or if you can find them - Osram Silverstars (Sylvania's European Brand).

I just took a bunch of pics last night...I have a couple really cool ones of the Silverstar lows vs. the stock halogen highs.

I am very impressed with the Silverstars so far...they are NOT like the cheapo ones. My buddy bought the 9.99 ones at the local Wal-Mart and those are :barf:

I don't have a way of hosting...if someone does though, I can send the pics out.

If you go with ANY bulb with a blue tint to it WHATSOEVER, then I HIGHLY recommend getting TRUE 100w bulbs such as Nokya, Hella, Showoff. Between 4300k - 5000k will give you the best compromise between light output and color temp.

Anything over 5000k will have more of a purple hue, but you will sacrifice the output of the bulbs.

I will be running 130w bulbs with a aftermarket harness kit this season, so 100w is nothing.

EDIT: I just noticed you have a LS1. If your headlight housings are plastic then get the Krypton / Xenon gas mix bulbs... and stay around 80w

have anyone tried those H.I.D conversion kits, from eBay, from 6000k all the way up to 10000k, how do they look, do they look good?, or do they have that purple hue (mentioned by pu12en12g....)???

Some of those kits are good... some of them are bad.

Tinted bulbs on a TRUE H.I.D. kit = BAD
