how hard is thecoversion? do all of the plugs fix as is,or will i need a new wire harness? do i need a PCM from a OBD1 car with the same tranny? what do i need to know?

He can send you a OBDI PCM programmed correctly for your car. He can also do other mods like different cooling fan trigger points, speed and rpm limit adjustments, program out certain emissions stuff, that sort of thing. You get the PCM in the mail, remove your current OBDII PCM and install the modded OBDI pcm. That’s it, your done. Plus you keep your OBDII pcm and can always put it back in if needed.

You need a PCM. If you have an M6, a PCM from any LT1 car will do (auto or manual). If you want to retain the 96+ knock sensor, you will have to solder a 3.9kohm resistor in the right place. If you don't want to modify your PCM, then you have to swap to the 95 knock sensor. Other than that, it's plug and play with the right programming. Madwolf and PCMforless have packages that offer this.

 

you can get a remanufactured PCM from Advance auto parts for only 98 bucks with warranty. IF you buy the programming software you can do it yourself then, and update the mods you add instantly.

 

Don't forget the $135 core charge on top of that $98....
