lowering springs??

I am planning on purchasing SLP ZR1 17" wheels very soon and I am thinking about lowering the car at the same time. Can I use the stock shocks and which are the best springs to purchase. The car is a daily driver so I don't want to drop it too much. Pics would also be helpful. Thanks for any help

Eibach Pro-Kit are the best springs and I would get Bilstein shocks to complete the setup.

i second the vote for the eibach pro-kit, i currently have the eibach sportline's and i will be pulling those out in favor of the pro-kit.. mostly due to the bounciness of the ride, but majorly due to my car dragging the temporary speedbumps we have up here where i work... nothing like having to get out of your car and yank a speedbump out from underneath it and place it back where it was... but yea, pro-kit all the way

LS1 Speed has them for $396, SLP has them for $400, QTP $400, etc.

I started a similar post on here a week ago. I just had Eibach Sportlines installed and the car looks great, but it is dangerously close to the ground. My exhaust pipe just before going over the rear axle is about 2" off the ground! I intended to have the Pro Kit installed in the first place.

Anyway, the bounce is unbearable, so I have ordered some Bilsteins HD's. After talking to someone from Bilstein they told me they needed to be revalved or the shock still would not have enough rebound damping to get rid of the bounce. If you are a GM employee you can get a set of revalved Bilstein HD for $244 factory direct. Mine are in the mail and I can't wait.
