Need specific info on running purge lines through ram-air hood nostrils

I have an NX dual vent purge setup. I had it to where it was doing the dual vent in front of the windshield.

I ended up changing some stuff around, and now it would work, but I'd have to buy new hard line and do it over. I've been thinking "why not out my Ram-Air hood nostrils." I have the SLP Ram Air HO package (it's a genuine WS6 hood w/ a slightly different airbox and decal package).

- What kind of lines will I need? I'll assume I would just run my hard lines out of the T, cut them short, then run some sort of soft line to them. BUT....what size soft line, and what kind of soft line wouldn't crack/break under the severe cold?

- How do you affix the soft line to the hood? Drilling holes in the hood is NOT an option. I normally have no problems w/ hacking my car up, but not my expensive ass hood......at least not for a freaking purge line.

- Does the pressure of the nitrous flowing out like to push the ends of the purge line out of the hood baffles (since I realize I'll have to drill a hole into the hood baffles; that's okay. :)

Anyone...please. I need to finish this up by Thursday to be read in time for the Hot Rod Super Nats / Flashlight Drags. :)

Joe I have seen it done with semi flexible nylon tubing,that almost clear kind of white kind.

Black tube clips and paint hid the lines,but the clips were fastened with screws.

You had to really look to see it.

Your going to have to fasten the line to the bottom of the hood somehow (you said no drilling)and leave enough slack in the line to be able to open the hood without pulling your lines off.


Its a lot easier to do on the 98 and up WS6 cars as they have the lower holes to use instead of the hood holes,the hard lines can be run out the bottom on those cars.

Joe, I tried using several soft lines and all seem to freeze and break under the extreme cold. When using a soft line and purging the nitrous it will also make the lines push unless they're secured. I'm guessing and nylon-type tube would be your best bet.
