hey guys and gals...

this stuff is forsale for the only reason of making money to pay for a 9-inch...so it's all in tip top shape!!!

Phantom Tach w/shiftlight. Never installed in my car, used to be Johnny's and is in PERFECT condition

Stealth Sub-box with Kicker impulse 10"er. Perfect....cost me $500 last summer.

RockfordFosgate Punch 100z2. Nice amp, not a superpowerful amp but will definately wake the neighbour if thats what you want.

MAC Rear-end girdle...Armen has dibbs but if he doesn't want it, it's got to go. Brand new, never installed

2 WS6 rims, one with good rubber

MAYBE my BBK 52mm Throttle body...bought it off Mike Servio

other stuff when I think about it

shoot me some offers...if it's REASONABLE, consider it sold.

Thanks

I kinda descided not to go with a 9 inch myself because aparently it robs even more power then a 12 bolt, significally more then the 12 bolt, when the 12 bolt robs quite a bit compared to the stock 10 bolt, so maybe its just worth it to go with a 12 bolt.

Actually the 12-bolt didn't feel like it robbed any HP at all. :D

You should be fine either way Andy.

The 12-bolt weighs way more than a 9-inch, but the 9 robs 1% more power. I will give up a little HP inorder to have WAY more durability and that shouldn't matter though because I'll be going to a deeper gear anyways!

Here is some stuff I found out about 9" vs. 12 bolt:

There are two choices here – the Ford 9" rear and the GM 12-bolt. This is the first choice to make. The Ford 9" has a number of advantages, including:

Low cost
A drop-out pumpkin, allowing quick gear changes
Indestructible.
But it seems to have a few drawbacks too:

No plug-and-play setups available, all seem to be "some assembly required"
The pinion is located further below the axle centerline (2.25" vs. 1.50" for the 12-bolt), offering the potential for pinion angle setup problems. This is also contributes to the next problem.
It has a higher internal friction loss. Published data indicates the GM 12-bolt has an efficiency of 93%, about 3% higher than the Ford 9" which is 90%. In a 500HP setup, this will cost you 15HP. (Ref: National Dragster, 11/10/99, "What’s The Diff?" by Bruce Dillishaw)
No ABS available.
It’s made by Ford.

The Ford rear end is also 38 pounds heavier then stock, I couldn't find out how much heavier the 12 bolt is then stock.

ABS IS availible now and is considerably more weight than a 12-bolt

When you guys talk about 12 bolts, what size ring gear are you using? The stock GM 12 bolts came with a 8.88" ring gear but many aftermarket 12bolts use a 10" ring gear. I always assumed that you guys would be using the 10" but when I hear you guys say a 9" is stronger than a 12bolt I have to wonder. Id rather have a 10" ring gear than a 9" anyday. Size does matter, even if your GF tells you otherwise ;) .

I belive its the 10" but the Ford 9 inch is still stronger, I also read something about the 9" using 4 bearings to support the axles instead of 2 like the strange, or some crap I fergot, either way, the 9" is way stronger then the 12 bolt I know that from reading for hours, the 9" is called indestructable, now a 14 bolt :)

I know some places are selling 4 channel ABS for the 9", meaning there is a reluctor ring on each axle... This is for people with traction control.

I've heard rumors of people that have gotten a 3 channel setup ABS for the 9"

Sold to the man with the Red SS!!!

Sounds good to me bud...I'll have it with me.

Andy

PS= My box was empty and I haven't been getting any pm's like I used too...something wierd about that:confused:

PSS= I decided not to sell the stealth box because I spent a tone of money on it and don't want to be left with an amp and extra sub (I already have 2 12" sitting in my basement)
