stock 4L60E with 100 shot...is it safe??

is it safe to have stock tranny while spraying 100 shot of nitrous?? thanks

i'd say its safe, sure...but depends how you do it. make sure to get a window switch and set the upper limit to a couple hundred RPM below the RPM shift point so it doesnt spray through the shift. N2O helps produce profound amounts of torque, and shooting that between gears while it dis/engages is likely to cause problems down the road. make sure to use a WOT switch also so it wont activate until you drop the hammer in first (while above the window switch lower limit).

you have a tachometer? ;) i think the default rpm shiftpoints for the F-body 4L60E is 5750(?). i believe in the PCM its programmed as a mph (calculated by the rpm and final gear ratio). given these numbers, i'd shut it off after 5000 but before 5500. thats just me - i dont have an A4 and i've never sprayed one.

Like mentioned, don't spray through the shifts and it should last. :) With a stock cam there is no need to spin higher than the factory rev limiter. I'd set the window switch at 5,500. :cool:

what about if i set it at 5000 RPM?? will it be safe??

5000 would be safe, my window switch cuts off at either 5500 or 5600 on my A4.
