Predatorbird 05-16-2003, 05:36 PM i just finsihed up Valencia in the spring and got my A.A. degree. today i had orientation at UCF and i'm now officially a student there. i signed up for classes, still undeclared major but will be either Gen. Business or MIS. i'm sure most of you guys have taken these classes, but anyway in the fall i'm taking:
CGS2100C Lec/Lab Comp Fun Bus
ACG2021 Financial Acc
ECO2013 Macroeconomics
ECO2023 Microeconomics
i don't feel like listing the times and professors, but if anyone is taking those classes in the fall i'll let you know. it's pretty cool checking my schedule and seeing i'm listed as a Junior. finially i'm not an underclassman anymore. anyway just thought i'd share the good news and i look forward to parking w/ the fellow f-bodies on campus.
SFB767 05-16-2003, 09:14 PM Congrats on the AA and welcome to UCF.
CGS2100 is cake online. ACG 2021 is easy too, if you have Thornburg. If you have Evans, try and change teachers, a friend had him and said he's pretty tough. Scrogin is good for ECO 2023.
Matt-01-SS 05-16-2003, 11:45 PM Right now I'm taking ECO2013 for summer and I have Patricia Euzent. Very good teacher, and the class is an "M" class. Class is like two days a week and the other "half" of class is online. You have quizzes and little assignments, but the class is very easy. I recommend her if you can change.

i'm sorry
MustangEater82 05-17-2003, 03:03 AM Thornburg is cake for finacial accounting...
I here Evans is a pyscho, his grad student from before is my current teacher for managerial accounting I am taking right now, he is pretty hard but softening up.
Pat Euzent is not bad for economics I got an A in her class. CGS2100 is basically powerpoint/excel/word/access....
If you are dying I have a burnable copy and registration for office 2k.
I am currently MIS, I am about maybe a semester and a half ahead of you.
Welcome to UCF, we really need to start a car club... We try to park on the 3rd floor of the parking garage near the back side of campus on that back road that leads to McCulloch, its not far from the busniess building, and there is always parking, in regular semester we get 4-5 f-bodies up there.
Predatorbird 05-17-2003, 11:56 AM thanks for all the info guys. as of right now i only know who 2 of my teacher are. Moore for macroeco and Potter for microeco. all of my other teachers are TBA. i had Evans, but i changed times b/c i would have had a messed up day if i took his class.
hey anasazi, you sorry i had orientation or i'm a ucf student? orientation sucked, but i'd rather be a ucf student than a valencia student. tons of more hot chicks at ucf too. :D

both :)
Matt-01-SS 05-17-2003, 02:58 PM lol, the 2-day 20 hour orientation......
Matt-01-SS 05-17-2003, 03:00 PM What does it take to become a Sophmore? I've been going to school since last summer, its been a year...

30 credits
Predatorbird 05-17-2003, 04:09 PM they actually changed orientation. it's only one day from 9:30-2. my friends all had to go to the 2 day one which i'm sure sucked.
Matt-01-SS 05-17-2003, 04:11 PM That must be the "you've already been to college" orientation as opposed to coming straight from high school.

Dr. Euzent is the Shizzle, very cool person. Welcome to UCF.
LT1stunna 05-18-2003, 01:19 AM Welcome to UCF. Good school but ad $500 a year to your tuition For a good body shop to get the dings out of your doors. PARKING IS SH*TTY See you around campus.
Matt-01-SS 05-18-2003, 01:27 AM Not unless you know where to park.
Predatorbird 05-18-2003, 02:30 AM hey LT1stunna, were you at home depot today on alafaya? i think i saw your car there. my roommate and i had to go pick up some stuff for the house.
i used to be real paranoid about parking and protecting my car, but since moving up here i just stopped careing. the visitor spots at apartments are usually real small and my doors have already aquired some new scratches. i know if i'm parked next to you guys my car will be safe from dings, as well as yours.

they don't call it "you can't finish" for nothing :)

I see where you're coming from, but it is possible to finish. I felt the same way when I came to UCF in '01. I had an AA from a private college and UCF didn't accept about 25 hrs., so I was a year behind. It's an excellent school and is always getting better. Once our sports program is top-notch and we're nationally-recognized, a UCF degree will be a hot commodity.
anasazi 05-18-2003, 11:58 AM the UCF computer science program is supose to be top notch, but from talking with some of the professors i've been impressed by one, Arup Guha... that guy is brilliant... the rest can't figure out how to turn on the overhead LCD projectors...
MustangEater82 05-18-2003, 01:23 PM I think the school is decent just needs to be alot more organized.
They expand waaaay to fast and it seems like we they are barely getting by without a disaster on the most part.
LT1stunna 05-18-2003, 04:33 PM Hey Predatorbird,
Where do you guys park? I have most of my classes at the HPA building or at the Classrooms 1. That dirt lot is brutal. Yeah I was up at the depot viiting YoshiZ28 he works there. Peace, Greg
Predatorbird 05-18-2003, 05:34 PM is Yoshi the green camaro w/ clear corners and t/a swirl take offs from slp? i've seen it there a lot when i go.

Yeah it is, I saw a survey that said like 80% of UCF CS grads are satisfied with their pay right out of college. So that says something right there.
Did you ever have that guy who was arrested for terrorism connections?

Yeah you're right. The construction is crazy. I was in a BA classroom this afternoon and the whole room shook for like 10 min. when the steamroller was going by.
Our new business building is nice, you should check it out.
MustangEater82 05-20-2003, 02:31 AM they are letting people into the new business building?
Sweet, I had a class last summer, in the big lecture hall in the BA building, they woudl shake the whole wall and the projector kicked out once during the work, it was very very annoying.
As for HPA and CLassroom parking, park in the garage on the 3rd floor, on the side opposite form the school, that is where we usually park not so much this summer(at least not me, T, TR 6-8:50( so campus is pretty much dead. I gave up hte dirt lots, they get bad some times, when the big divets form, I think I might get stuck one day and I do not mind mudding in my Camaro.
BTW is YoshiZ28 David Alexander? The guy that won SLP day for street tire f-bodies? I have had some classes with him, in Lab for CGS2100 we started talking because while the guy at the front was speaking whatever it is that is not english we were both cruising thei board, I have run into him a few times at the track. I know he works at Home Depot, and has the Green z28, with green frotn end(incuding headlight area) with the twisted 5-spoke rims and clear corners.

Yeah, they're letting people in the new business building. The current BA240 is moving in there on the ground floor with a few more counselors. My group and I are always in there at the tables from like 9:15 - 9:45.

Alright, I'll start parking there in the fall, that's the newest one, right?
I met this dude in class today with a Grand National and said he wants to start a car club, so if I we can get any spare time, it'll be in the works and we'll let you all know.
Matt-01-SS 05-20-2003, 01:18 PM Yes, the newest garage, or the North garage is where we all used to park. I started there last fall semester and got quite a few other fbodies to join in, it was pretty cool, but last spring I hardly saw anyone, hopefully this fall, yall will park next to me again.
MustangEater82 05-20-2003, 03:49 PM Yeah it died down, but I usually saw your car, the blue 3rd gen, the black 3rd gen, Soma7(Jason) Green Trans Am, I usually parked up there. Its shade, and secluded. Also cops like to chill in that area and shoot radar on the back road, having UCF police around my car makes me feel a little better since my car wasbroken into on campus.
My car left some of the oil up there but not all of it ;) That busted oil sending unit causing me to leave a quart of oil every day, really got messsy at my apartment complex. :)
Matt-01-SS 05-20-2003, 05:06 PM Hah, so you're the one who staind all those parking spaces, lol. Yeah, I don't always like taking my car to school, thats why I drive the miata a lot.

The really big stain next to the pillar wasn't me though, not sure who left that, but it was alot of oil :)
What can I say, my 3.4L felt threatened by all the big v8s so it started marking its territory.
anasazi 05-20-2003, 11:44 PM the blue 3ed gen is the one that left the oil slick... i saw him pull away once and there was such a huge puddle of oil that it looked like the water that comes off of the A/C on our cars...

Seriously I thin he lives in Northgate... IF you drive towards my building, across form the manger office, there is a side pariking lot, and I think he parks there.
I been wondering if he has a v8 or v6, wonder if he has a 2.8L :metal: or a 305
