Hey, I will be staying in San Antonio a few days next month. Just wondering if you guys could recommend places to go for a good time. We will be on the Riverwalk.

We plan on going to Joes Crab Shack and Polly Esthers. We go there everytime, just looking for some "new to us" places.

Any Rock clubs, good steaks, awesome margarita's or just a place to have an over all good time would be appraciated. We go there every year but I would like suggestions to make sure that we are not missing anything.

Thanks,

Check out "Howl at the Moon"...good entertainment and, as always, alcohol.

BTW...it's downtown off the riverwalk

Plenty of places to go but downtown is kinda expensive.
If you are looking for a large club to go dancing try Atrium on Broadway.
If you want a smaller place where the hotties hang out then try hitting ReBar on broadway, another cool place is the Broadway Bar on Broadway.

Eh, not into the "yuppie" thing. Looking more for a BAD ASS STEAK, BAD ASS MARGARITA and a club that plays more ROCK music than anything. Do not need the Hotties, I am married and can't look anyway LOL.

I only get away once a year so I do not mind spending the $$$. I pretty much expact to spend $100-150 for dinner and bar tab and another $100 or so in drinks at a club for me and my wife. Like I said, we only get away omnce a year.

Thanks for the replies, any more suggestions??

Sad to say, but not many 'clubs' that do this... Maybe someone else can chime in here??? Mostly pop/country/tejano b.s.

Never stopped me...'course I'm divorced now, so I shouldn't be looked upon as an example... ;)

Margaritas...Chachos is good, there is all so that place downtown...that has a mixture of margaritas....Fat Tuesdays...

Rock music...umm...i believe the White Rabbit...but not sure if there would be anything going on when ur in town...

Thanks guys, are ALL of hese on the Riverwalk?

If not, are they worth the drive?

As far as a club, it would have to be on the Riverwalk. Our hotel is there so incase we get "lit" we can stumble in and not have to drive.

Texas Roadhouse has 2 locations...one on Pat Booker Rd and I -35 N...the other off of Loop 410. as far as worth the drive...i like my steak well done...and most think that means no juice and no flavor...this steak was well done inside and out and extremely juicy and tender...so to me yes...worth the drive :) as for the White Rabbit...its just north of downtown on St. Marys...parking sucks the one time i went there...so not sure if it would worth the drive...
