Hey guys, I'm officially starting to look at LS1's this weekend, well, friday, and I need to know of things to be wary of. I know what to look for on the LT1 cars, and I have heard of power window problems on LS1 cars, is there anything else I need to be aware of? Thanks guys. I'm going to look at a NMB 99 SS M6 tomorrow, hopefully it will be in my driveway within a week.

Definitely take it for a test drive and feel for warped rotors, something I didn't do and paid $400 to fix:( Listen for piston slap, luckily mine doesnt have that. And basically check for any loose things and see wat kind of records were kept.

You paid $400 to replace warped rotors?

$15 to get both turned, or $80 for a new pair from GM...

Exactly what he said! You can replace calipers, pads and rotors for much less than $400!

Other than what you already said and what was said in previous posts, just check all the obvious stuff you'd check in any other car anyway.

Good luck for your hunt! ;)

Why is this, and how much will it cost?

So I might need a new slave cylinder and a new master cylinder. Doesn't sound too bad. Probably something I could do on a saturday afternoon.
