Can't Sh*t a Sh*tter....

I have never heard anyone lay it on so thick in my entire life the other day.
I was coming home from CMU friday and I stop at the car wash in Davison and there is this 98+ white Z28 washing his car. I pull into the stall next to him and start to wash my car. He gets done and does this burnout in front of me and pulls over to the vacumm and starts to dry off his car. Yeah real cool. LoL. Anyways, I get done washing mine and I pull next to him to dry mine off and as soon as I get out of the car he asks if I want to race. I laugh and introduce myself and tell him where I am from. He just graduated this year and had the car for 8 months now. I asked him how he likes the LS1 engine and he looks at me and goes "actually its an LS6, I put an LS6 intake and cam in it" Hmm, yeah ok. Anyways, so he starts talkin about how bad his insurance is and payments and says he has 9 points on his license. I told him I don't have any yet but I got let go on the highway one time when I was lucky. He looks at me and says "I don't even stop for the cops on the highway anymore. I go 180mph and just keep going if I see one." I look at him kinda funny and then look at his tires and there cooper XST P245/50/R16's. I told him he better be careful going 180mph with those tires (like he ever went 180mph anyways) because those tires will blow. He said, "No man, there high performance tires" I told him, "No there not." He keeps arguing with me about it and finally says "Look I bet that truck over there has P on its tires." I told him, no it won't. And then he says "Look, on ur tires it will say R on it" I told him go ahead and look... He points at them and says "se...oh and I said, yes that says ZR" Then he looked at me and said "Oh well the cooper tires don't have to have that rating and P means high performance" He said he has been doing this for 4 years and he knows what he is talking about and I said "I thought u owned the car for 8 months?" He just started getting more mad and I told him to chill out I was just trying to help him with his car.
Then I asked what he ran in the 1/4 mile. He says "I run a 12.8 @130mph" 130mph! You should be in 10's I said. And he goes, oh i mean 115mph. I ran 130mph at the 1/2 mile strip. I asked, where is the 1/2 mile strip at? He said way up in Dixie and its not really a track, a guy goes on an old abondad road and then gets his equipment out and test runs your car for you. Its the only place up there to race. I said to him "I live in Mount Pleasant and Mid-Michigan Motorplex is 20 min. away and thats up north. He said, "Oh but this is way way up there" I just told him whatever and that I had to go and to have a nice day.
I never had someone lay it on me so thick in my entire life. He was just so closed minded about everything and he wouldn't listen to anything I said. He did not deserve to drive a domestic thats for damn sure.

LOL I know what you mean. I went to a family gathering one time and my sisters had a new boyfriend. I had my 440 6 pack Cuda then. I pulled up and he was checking it out. So he wanting to be the big man started telling me about when he had this 67 GTO back in the day that ran 8. second et at the track. I ask him what year that was and he told me 1970. I could not help myself and started laughing like crazy. He ask me what was so funny and I told him only rails and funny cars were running those times back then. Some people just like to try to be the man.

A few of us met some kid at the 50's McDonalsa this summer and he wastelling us how he has puled 1.4 60 foots on his Eagle F1 tires and how his manual fan switch dropped like 3 tenths off his 1/4 mile time. Then he was telling us how it's a heads cam car and then he starts explaining how his heads are being done right now and his cam was in the mail..he ****ing lost me!! hahahaha

LoL. Oh well. Figures everyone knows who he is.

Hmm... I haven't seen that guy cruising around, yet. But when I do I'll be sure to ask him for a race up to say 130mph, if he's running non-Z rated tires chances are he's got a speed limited car. he he... I see a couple of the same cars cruising around quite regularly in Davison though, a pewter WS6 convertible with dual dark stripes down the middle is one of them. That guy lives near Charter Oaks...

It just doesn't make any sence to act like you know everything, when someone is trying to help you out. It is a nice looking car, and I was just trying to give him tips on making it better. Perhaps I should look him up & get some of his insight.

There's a guy around here with a 95 or 96 non-turbo Eagle Talon, he claims '1st gear can break any speed limit in the county', and he runs low 13's ... I seen him STRUGGLE to keep up with a riced out Civic that I could have stomped silly in the Grand Am.

I've learned to stay away from other car owners on the weekends. The bull**** is just too thick

Hahaha, he said Lambos now too? Hahaha. He has been telling everyone he smoked some ZO6 last year that no one saw but him. My brother (who graduated with him) said that the Smith kid (ZO6) has only driven the car 3 times and the third time he put it in the ditch and wrecked it. LoL. Oh well. Its funny cause all the little kids at the cruise thinks he is the sh*t LoL. Hey LS1's are sweet, oh wait, he has an LS6 so he says. LoL. Oh well, now we got new sh*t to laugh about with the silver fire extinguisher NAWS bottle (not hooked up yet) and these Lambos he's been smoking. :eek: :D Flint cruise shall be interesting if I make it down this year.

I would take him out to the track with everyone at MM so he can have some competition but apparently he only races at tracks WAAAAY up north, and they aren't legal tracks, there just back roads with a guy at the end with a radar gun and timer. (I swear to God this is what he told me he did) He is real original. LoL. But seriously, he should come to one of the MM events.

Hey guys, my girlfriend graduated with this kid and thought id drop a little information for ya. First of all if this hasn't been already stated, his real name is Kyle Kumrits, not sure of the last name spelling though, his kwiley plate is his nickname kwiley. He did race a z06 last year, the kid did go to school with him too, but since my 75 year old grandma could shift faster than the zo6 kid, it was a very pathetic race. Ive tried racing him in the past, wont do it. We tried getting him to race my buddies Dark blue s-10 blazer, wouldnt race him either. Keep in mind this was immediatley after saying "I'll race anyone I've never lost" Harold and i both talked to him for a while at the flint cruise one night telling us about his zo6 cam, when Harold brought up shift points for the zo6 cam he just acted like he thought we were idiots.
Ive had the chance to get him from a roll though maybe 45-75mph
pulled him by about a car keep in mind my car runs 13's.

If your reading this Kwiley We can race this summer if your up to it..

I will race him at the track in my 3rd gen. I am sure his LS6 can beat my 3rd gen.;) I don't street race but would be willing to race him at Mid Michigan if someone wants to set it up. I don't have the fastest car around but will be willing to take him on.

I might be wrong on the zo6 being a stick for some reason i thought they were all sticks. But its still didnt seem fast...yeah he dosen't want to listen about anyone elses opinion. We tried getting him to go to the track, i thinks he's afraid, maybe cause he will get kicked out for going to fast without a cage ...LOL...;)

As for the Flint cruise, I've been 2x, once in summer 99, lots of NICE and FAST cars, then last summer, tons of RICE and no old muscle cars, and there was a measureable drop commonsense quotient too. AAARRRRGGGGHHH I hate rice!!
