Anyone use POR-15?jim88iroc305 05-15-2003, 08:12 PM for rust elimination. i got a problem on driver side door hinge and wd40 isn't doing the trick. wanna stop any potential problems down the road. comes in treatment and paint. Kevin V 2002 SS 05-16-2003, 08:25 AM I've used POR-15 on my diff and other parts under the car and suspension. It works great!!! Jeff - '97 Formula WS6 05-16-2003, 09:24 AM I coated the majority of my Formula's suspension parts with Por 15 about three to four years ago. And the parts still look great. I even used Por 15 around my house (the exposed steel beams and pillars in the basement and garage). I also painted the gas meter outside my house with Por 15. (FYI - the paint fades when exposed to the sun). 71Monte 05-17-2003, 08:27 AM I have used it for years, and it holds up great. I used it on the frame of my Monte Carlo when I redid all the suspension 3 years ago and it still looks as good as it did when I first did it. Surface prep is the key. Ian ssz28 05-29-2003, 07:33 AM I tried it on a beater S-15 that had damage to the rear bed-side. (accident and rust holes) I even layered on some fiberglass mat and used por-15 as the resin  and it held up for a few years before the truck got turned into a Fiat, and this is up in Maine. POR-15 :metal: I have used it on other vehicles without problems other than fading in the sunlight. | ||
