does this sound right?(BCM)

to my uncles car to the dealership to get the alarm fixed...

it would go off as soon as it arms...

they said the BCM was bad and that a new one is 200 + 44 for install....
does this sound right? should i have to get a new one?

can anybody shed some light on this?

Silly obvious question, please forgive me, but sometimes have to ask them. Did you try changing the sensitivity of the alarm?

it never was changed...
it all of a sudden just happened...
sensitivty was never touched

can anyone shed any more light???????
