So my engine made 440 HP. Big deal. I built this thing to handle a power adder of any sort. I've got 10.0:1 compression with JE flat toppers. Forged crank and H beam rods. I'm thinking either a 250 shot of the happy go fast gas or 10 lbs of boost with a ATI Procharger with that carb box.
Turbos are nice but I'd like to keep this somewhat simple, plus I already have Hooker Supercomps and I'd like to keep them.
What would you do?
Joe
TrouserSnake 09-01-2002, 02:56 PM Thats tempting to go with the Juice But i love scream of a supercharger id say go with the Boost because its always there

Chris Ja 09-01-2002, 07:33 PM Joe if you got the money go with the ATI. But you could go with the NOS until you get the money for the ATI and then sell it.

IROC5.7TPI 09-01-2002, 08:18 PM IMO you have too much compression for a blower. I would just use nitrous... its also easier to hide http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif
10.0:1 too much compression?! What do LT1's and LS1's have again?
ChronoGN 09-01-2002, 09:33 PM Superchargers cost too much..
I would go with Nitrous unless I have lots of money to spend.

Yea they are expensive, but price doesn't matter at this point.
IrocSS85 09-01-2002, 11:04 PM well if you got the money, and it is intercooled, go w/the ati. but, remember, ls1's have better fuel delivery system then carbs so you have to be careful. you may have good overall fuel delivery, but still have one cyl. that gets more air then another one. youd be pushing it w/10 lbs I think. either way youd be making some good power then. chris

How many of them stay together with 10psi? You'll have to run pu$$y timing or race gas if you want to boost that engine.

joesmith69 09-02-2002, 03:25 PM Shouldn't have any problems boosting a 10:1 motor with a intercooled centrifigul. I'd opt for turbos personally(muhahah). http://web.camaross.com/bb/wink.gif

Well looks like I'm gonna have to run the happy icy cold go fast laughy gas. I need two bottles, the big ones http://web.camaross.com/bb/smile.gif
I'm thinking I'm gonna run a fogger setup though, and run somewhere around a 250 shot. I'd run a plate but hood space already looks like it's gonna be a problem, besides what looks cooler then a fogger???
