Got Headers... Diagnose this sound...

The car sounds very brassy especially when I'm driving hard and shift gears and the engine de-revs. It sounds like I can hear every lifter and valve moving... it's a very metallic hissy noise(not ticking). I didn't notice it much before my LT install. The more you get on the throttle the more you can hear it, but like I said it's especially annoying and noticeable when the engine is down revving like in the middle of a shift.

Mods are in sig

Also, assuming I get this taken care of, I want my car to be louder, throater, and meaner sounding! now, at WOT, it sounds too high pitched! I have the 3" slp dual/dual, and I was wondering if anyone had opinions on exaust systems that sound intoxicating with headers. (I'm getting cats soon, btw)

Thanks for the help!! :D

Well with long tubes your going to hear more valve train noise because they have less insulation then the stock headers. But Long tubes can cause a ticking when you accelerate at around 2000 rpm from the A.I.R. pump.

When I had headers, ORY, and LM; my exhaust was very metallic sounding. It was almost like I could hear the pistons moving in the bores. I thought it was a cool sound.

Really?! Hmmm... It sounds like it's gonna break or something... well i suppose It could just be the way it is... I was thinking maybe it could be an exhaust leak? I dont know, you think cats could quiet it down (the metal sounds)?
