75k here. 150-175 shot NX. :D A 100 shot should be pretty safe.

150 hp on 93octane

and if you want to get really wild get about 3 gal of 110 and shoot the 200hp shot just make sure that you have an excellent fuel system and tune

100 shot.....but be careful if thats your only ride;) My Z has been down for 3mo. now due to a broken piston. I will finally get the engine back Friday.

Mine has 92k on the shortblock, CC306 + ported heads. I haven't really sprayed it much like this, but I'm now getting into the process of tuning her for a 150 shot on 94 octane. Hopefully she'll take the abuse, but only time will tell.

What kind of times are you getting Joe?

That's a question I want to answer for myself. My car club had Norwalk Raceway (very nice facility) rented out for May 9th w/ a rain date of the 12th, and both days were rained out. :( I WAS going to find out then.

I sprayed her once down the track last year (very last day track was open). My Digital 6 was at MSD being replaced, AGAIN, so I didn't feel good about spraying a lot of juice. I had the 75 jets in, but my bottle pressure was down + car was already running rich = car popping badly all the way down the track. Spinning off the line, I ran like an 11.9 @ 116 or 117 or something....don't really recall...didn't care since I've ran better internally stock on a 150 shot. Since then I've done more tuning and have things running better, I expect she'll do a lot better than that. :)

The car is a pig (not sure how much she weighs now, but w/ heavy front rims, biggest/heaviest subframe connectors you can buy (SLP's), 6-point cage, stereo system, heavier 12-bolt, heavier torque arm, etc.) it's a lot more than stock. :( I'm hope for low 11's. If it would stop raining every time the track is open, and if the local track wasn't having events all the time, I could find out!

on may 30th im taking my crackwh0re car to the track and gonna spray for the first time :D

she ran 12.0 @ 117 NA (stock bottom end) .. gonna step upto 28" ET drags and hope to hook and spray her .. we'll see how much she'll take before she breaks :D

i might add some toulene or 110 octane .. but the rods worry me more than my pistons... the good gas might save ur pistons .. but stock rods can only take so much abuse :D

Actually the ring lands of the pistons are the weakest link of the stock setup. Make sure the fuel is unleaded or youll trash your O2s. Highest unleaded Ive seen is 104oct.

Don't worry about bending rods guys:rolleyes: Youre rods are alot stronger than the stock pistons. You should be able to spray 250shot on stock rods but the pistons may bust first. There is a guy that has a 4400lb Impala running 11's with a 200 shot on stock bottom end. You know what kind of stress that is? As long as you don't go lean or detonate you will be fine. I will give you guys a secret that I have tried and works awesome. Take some timing when you spray and it will not detonate and will not slow you down 1 100th of a second. Alot of people believe you are better off keeping the timing and putting good gas which works but you can do it on super uinleaded . You can pull 8 degrees on a 150 shot and it won't hurt nothing. I didn't beleive this either but a very comptent N20 tuner told me about this and I have tried it and p/u et with less timing. Probably b/c I was getting a little detonation before and didn't know it. Pulling timing will save youre bottomend and wont hurt performance trust me and give it a try. I am not saying you have to pull alot but pull 4 degrees for a 150. Later

on the stock bottom end, ive heard the pistons and ROD BOLTS are a weak point above 450rwhp.

so if with that 306, you are getting around 340-350ish rwhp...........and you spray a 100 shot...........youre getting into the danger zone of just plain out breaking parts.

thats about right, if you practice the '1 degree for every 50hp added' rule.
