Claying is pretty simple, but like anything, if used improperly, you can do more harm than good.
Rather than post a 1 page guide on how to clay, here's a few links that have plenty of info on claying: www.erazer.com www.properautocare.com http://www.carforums.com/auto_help/paint_care/car_paint_clay_bar.php
The basics to remember are:
1) Use PLENTY of lube.....if the clay is catching, dragging, etc on the paint you need more lube. It must glide effortlessly!
2) Work on a cool and clean (just washed) surface.
3) If the clay is dropped on the ground, throw it away. Keeping the clay clean by folding/kneading it is important.
Follow the claying with whatever prep you think your paint needs, then your favorite wax or sealant product for shine and protection.
As far as Zaino goes, I'd read this site first.... http://www.runlevel6.com/bmw/zaino.html
If the link doesn't direct you to the Zaino article, click the "Truth about Zaino" article. It has some very accurate info for those considering Zaino.

Hey Streamline, I live in Coquitlam and would be happy to help you out useing the claybar. I've seen your post on our local board. It's not really that hard to do, just lots of time and work.
