Jcb890 05-11-2003, 02:12 PM hey guys,
does ne1 know a good place to but nitrous kits for good prices. i was thinking about a NX WET KIT 100 shot. also, where is a good place to get it installed...i dont think i cud do it myself. also, if ne1 else is interested i got an email from sum1 who can do a GP that seems like its a good price.
thanx in advance,
jake
chevy94c 05-11-2003, 02:43 PM I would get the kit from TBryne and have NE dyno install it for you.
My84Z 05-11-2003, 04:20 PM I just bought a kit and will be putting it in soon it doesn't seem hard at all.
Josh-'04 GTO 05-11-2003, 05:56 PM I would NEVER pay anyone to do it! Nitrous is one of the easiest car mods you can do. Really doesn't require any special tools, just an afternoon and enough patience to do a neat job. Most kits have good instructions if you are really worried about it.
Jcb890 05-11-2003, 08:53 PM how much would it cost me to have it installed at NE Dyno ne1 know or had it done b4? ne1 around here know a lot about nitrous and would b willing to help w/ an install? of course i wud toss u some cash, cant buy beer and pizza, only pizza cuz im 18:(
thanx,
jake
5-liter-eater 05-12-2003, 08:48 AM let Rob and dean install it, trust me. It shouldnt cost too much. Call them and find out. Anything goes wrong you get to blame them and not yourself :D
Camride 05-12-2003, 09:40 AM I would be willing to help you install it(depending on my health situation). Although I've never actually installed a nitrous system, I have seen plenty done and it looks like cake, and I have enough experience with F-bodies to figure it out:) If you want to save money on the install I'm sure you could get enough people together to get it in, even if it's you and me I'm sure it'd be no prob. Just to make sure I can help, where are you located? I'm in the Northshore area, so as long as your not more than an hour or so away I can help.
Jcb890 05-13-2003, 04:34 PM hey man,
i live in shrewsbury (right next to worcester). i would b greatful if u cud help me w/ my install once i get all the sh*t 2gether, it might b a little while cuz im lookin into exactly what to get and stuff. if u have ne ideas just reply to my post in the N2O section of the board entitled "what i need" or sumthin like that.
thanx,
jake
chevy94c 05-13-2003, 05:45 PM I would get the fuel pressure safety switch, window switch, ngk tr6 plugs or auto lite 104 and a bottle warmer.
bowtiepwr 05-14-2003, 07:38 PM >If you need pics of where to mount certain items let us know and maybe we can take some pics for you ... (I like using my digital cam :) ) .
Jcb890 05-15-2003, 12:20 AM I'll take all the help i can get bowtie.

I didn't take a pic of the bottle since that is easy enough to mount where you want .
Jcb890 05-15-2003, 04:50 PM thanx man. now is that a throttle body plate set up from Nitrous Works? how big of a shot u run? wheres the purge set to come out at? im really new to this so i may ask dumb questions, but thats cuz i dont know what exactly im doing. for bottle placement...i was thinkin behind 1 of the front seats so i cud just unscrew and screw the bottle back up when ever i want.
thanx,
jake

>The only dunb question is the one not asked ... unless it's one of my trainees ;) .
Yes it is the TB plate , just a 75 shot , the purge hose comes out near the drivers windshield wiper, as for mounting the bottle in the "cabin" I don't know if that is allowed at the tracks (like I said I don't know) .
get a remote opener and mount that badboy in the "trunk" or wheel (spare tire) well where it won't take your head off in an accident .
bowtiepwr 05-22-2003, 02:20 PM >If you didn't get it done yet ... this is what I found at http://www.ls1speed.com/catagory.cfm?catagory=new
Look at "Jimmy Jams" activation switches you can't beat that for $29.99
Jcb890 05-22-2003, 05:10 PM the whole nitrous thing is getting pushed back big time cuz my waterpump went and ive had to throw $ into that but still havent gotten it installed so i dont even have a working car right now. if u know ne1 who knows how to install an electric waterpump id really appreciate it cuz im gettin desperate.
thanx,
jake
ps. check my other "i have a problem" post in the new england section.
My84Z 05-22-2003, 06:35 PM If you drive your car alot or as a daily driver i wouldn't get an electric pump they only last 300 hours.,
bowtiepwr 05-25-2003, 07:27 PM >actually they have a 2500 hour life expectancy .

Yep, I had my Meziere WP in my Z28 for over 2 years and never had a problem. They advertise a 2500 hour life expectancy, so if you figure that out it would equal something like 7 years if you drove 2 hours a day...I think, I did the math at some point, don't feel like doing it now :)
