i baught 2 "roto-tech" slotted/cross drilled rotors for 30 bucks. at the time i thought i checked and i had a left and a right. i just put them on and they both were lefts

so i put them on anyways... i got some 40 dollar lifetime warranty brake pads from autozone so i don't care if it tares them up, and the rotors themselves only cost like 24 bucks a piece. they seem to stop in a straight line.

so will bad things happen? if they eventually go bad oh well, they were cheap and the pads are lifetime replacement :). the only thing i care about is if it'll stop good and if it'll stop straight.

they seem to grip a lot better than my previous pads / rotors so i'm happy so far.

Here's an article that may help - http://www.baer.com/Support/TechTips.aspx?TechTipID=2

Summary, it's the direction of the vanes inside the rotor that matter, not the slots on the surface.
