A buddy of mine has a Camaro (98) and there is a squeek comming from what seems to be in the console, under where the CD player is. So he made sure all the screws in the console to the dash were tight and it is still squeeking. Is it something under the body maybe? Its not that noticable, and is easily drowned out by the radio. Any thought of what it could be? It just sounds like something rubbing together. It only makes the noise while going over bumps too.......

Sorry man, it could be one of 100 things. Sorry I can't be of more help, but, Welcome to the club :)
These cars are known for their squeeks and rattles. Best bet would be to just keep poking around for it. Or perhaps someone has the same problem on here, and found what it was.

The squeeks come with any f-body. Part of a "Special edition" factory options that came with all f-body's;)

It is most likely coming from the console rubbing on the bottom of the dash board. I had the same issue going over bumps. It pissed me off so much that i went and got a peice of felt to match my interior and slipped it between where the dash and end of the console meet. Problem solved. You can torque the console bolts as tight as you want, and this squeak wont go away, thats why i sought out a way to remedy the problem not just correct it for a few weeks.

If it's a constant squeak, try turning off the AC :) That collector fan under the passenger side of the dash is always noisy in the 4th gens for some reason.
