I just bought my '95 Z28 a couple months ago. I genious who had it before me put the wrong wipers on which I didn't realize until one flew off as I was driving. Anyway, there's a bunch of scuff marks and a few deaper scratches in my windshield that are really distracting when Im driving, mostly when it's sunny. I talked to the people at all 3 of the autoparts stores in town and none had anything to remove them. One recomended using fine steal wool which I haven't tried because I fear it scuffing more. Anyone know what I can do to fix my windshield or do I have to take it someplace and have it professionally buffed out?

There are kits from companies like Eastwood that have glass polishing systems, never had much luck if you can feel the scratches.

Since I have a 89' you can imagine the scratch and scuff marks I had. I just had a brand new windshield installed for $190. Best exterior upgrade I have done yet. It really makes the car stand out when it is all clean plus I have a great view out of the glass compared to the old.

I have heard somewhere you can use toothpaste because it is a mild abrasive I believe....

1. Move to Florida
2. Shatter windshield
3. Replaced free via. Florida insurance laws
4. Find the place in FL that gives you a free box of steaks with windshield
5. Throw party, eat steaks, get drunk
6. Move back home.

Steps 5 and 6 are interchangable.
