Inside of windshield tips?

What is the best way to clean the inside of the windshield, and at the same time, avoid that 'hazing' that always seems to come back?

i use armoral glass wipes. i do this because i dont have to spray anything and i believe that it is easier to do this way. I dont know how to avoid the haze....i wish i did :)

Tons of people always say to use newspaper...

They swear by it.


I haven't tried it yet, because I fear a big inky mess... :o

I read on here someone using a microfiber towel. I though they were nuts, but it works and works well. I keep one in my car all the time to wipe down the radio face, sunglasses, dust the console, etc. Try it, you'll like it.

Heh, that was probably me..... I think I'm about the only one here that has praised the virtues of MF in car care. :D It is a fantastic product, but like anything else, you can get low quality that might cause problems. Pay for good quality and you'll be rewarded very, very well! You'll wonder what cotton was made for......:D

Grab a good MF towel, a good glass cleaner, and you're all set...... nuthin' to it. ;)

news paper works REALLY well for the outside windows. I dont know if i would use it for the inside. It doesnt leave streaks or anything. really amazing if you ask me. No inky mess either.

What do you use with it? Windex?

And do you just wad it up and wipe, or fold it over into squares?

yes, you can use it with windex. i dont think it matters whether or not you fold it or wad it up. just try it and see what works the best for you. I havent used it in a while because i use the glass wipes. I like using them because they are less messy cpmpared to using windex or other sprays and seem to work really well.

I occasionaly use newspaper for the insides if the haze gets bad. For me the key is Invisible Glass from Stoner. It is THE best glass cleaner I've used. You'll never get away from the haze as it is a result of gas given off from the vinyl in your interior.

The haze is caused by the plastic in your interior... it constantly emits it... but moreso when it's newer.

I can't remember where I saw it, but I know I've seen a glass cleaner product at my local car parts store that specificaly said it got rid of plastic haze in cars. I think it was a Windex product. I've got some Stoner's glass cleaner but I haven't tried it yet. My truck's interior is cheap-as-hell hard PVC-type painted plastic and my car's plastics are damned nice... as a result neither one puts off any plastic haze that I can tell. It seems to be the middle-line cars that do it: the ones that have plastics that are nice enough to be soft-touch but still on the cheaper side of things that do it the most.

Oh, and newspaper works great on any glass or mirror surface. It's all I've used for years.:cool:

i use eagle one 20/20, works very very well.
microfiber are the only cloth that ever touches my car.

i hear to use newspaper, and then microfiber afterwards.

you'll only get newsprint on your hands at worst.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will be sure to give newspaper a try. And if I discover anything myself, I'll let you know.

Ok, I know it's no big deal but I laughed my ass off when I read that. "Stoner's" glass cleaner? Sounds like it's made fore people to get 'stoned' off the ammonia fumes or something :D Ok... I'm done now... :)

Darth, newspapers really work great. The newsprint ink makes for an excellent glass polish.
