Is "Goof Off" safe for our finishes?sleeperZragtop 05-04-2003, 11:17 PM ...I removed the side moldings from my Camaro...and it left this sticky crap behind it....is Goof Off safe for the clear coat? Thanks :) fbird95 05-05-2003, 12:19 AM I wouldnt use it, I would use a heat gun carefully instead. Black_Z28 05-05-2003, 12:46 AM Yes, it's ok for your finish. Just don't rub too hard on the finish. You might want to let the car sit in the sun for a bit. Then put some of the goo gone on a NICE towel and rub it off. PurplePonyEatr 05-05-2003, 01:18 PM It was safe on my car... I used it on the fenders to remove the left over residue from the Z28. Don't use any on any plastic part of your car through... bad news. sleeperZragtop 05-05-2003, 03:54 PM Thanks guys...worked very well...I just had to re-Zanio the car.. KevinSS 05-05-2003, 03:57 PM Goof Off and Goo Gone are TWO different products, Goof Off is about 10 times stronger than Goo Gone. Both are safe for cured paint , just do not leave either on the surface very long. | ||
