Is "Goof Off" safe for our finishes?

...I removed the side moldings from my Camaro...and it left this sticky crap behind it....is Goof Off safe for the clear coat?

I wouldnt use it, I would use a heat gun carefully instead.

Yes, it's ok for your finish. Just don't rub too hard on the finish. You might want to let the car sit in the sun for a bit. Then put some of the goo gone on a NICE towel and rub it off.

It was safe on my car... I used it on the fenders to remove the left over residue from the Z28. Don't use any on any plastic part of your car through... bad news.

Goof Off and Goo Gone are TWO different products, Goof Off is about 10 times stronger than Goo Gone.

Both are safe for cured paint , just do not leave either on the surface very long.
