The Jet Hot LT1 headers fit the 93-97 cars. The headers with the emission tubes work only with the 94-97 cars. The headers are designed as full length equal length tubes.

I know the sale is over :( But I have a couple questions.

Are the "Jet Hot" LT's built buy you guys I assume?

The hookers have no Emissions connections stuff correct?

Is that the main difference?

Yes, Jet Hot makes our own headers. The Hooker headers do not offer the emission tubes or O2 bungs. Outside of the tubes and O2 bungs, Jet Hot headers are thicker(16 gauge vs 18gauge metal and a flange thickness of 3/8" vs 5/16" thick). The flange at the head is welded on both sides and has a flat matting surface(the hooker headers have the tubes pushed though and welded).

Thanks

So the Jet-Hot headers you're speaking of are LT's. DO they come with a Y-pipe and all necessary hardware? Shoot me back a quick reply or email (jaydhreturns@aol.com) w/ prices and you've probably got a buyer in me. Thanks.

Sorry, I was off late last week for the holiday. We offer the long tube headers but no Y pipe at this time. We are working on a Y pipe(with and without cats), it won't be ready till late summer. The headers come with the standard bolts and paper gaskets. We offer the headers with and without the emission tubes(except the 93, we do not have emissin tubes yet).

Thanks

The Y pipe with Cats will not be a cert. emission legal Y pipe. We are making Y pipe with cats in order to pass the sniff test. It will be up to the shop if they pass the visual test.

Thats not a problem! I just need to get the OK for the need special. Once I get enough demand, I can get an OK to start the special(this means I need about 5-8 people to ask for a new GP).

Yes they're longtubes. These headers are an improvement on the hooker design....(dont remember all the details). AFAIK there is no such thing as an emissions legal Long Tube header. They come with the fixtures for the EGR and AIR as an option but you have to move the cats back with LTs so its not entirely legal even if it passes the sniffer. If all you need to do is pass the sniffer then yeah they can be legal, its just the visual check it wont pass. Hopefully Chris or someone else can give you the rest of the info. Jump in on the GP thread I started if you like what you hear.

The Jet Hot LT1 headers (without the emissin tubes) are designed for the 93-97 Camaro/Firebirds. The headers are 1 3/4x3" collectors with a 3 bolt flange at the end. The headers are a 16 gauge metal with a 3/8" flange thickness. The header flanges are welded on both sides. The matting surface is smooth(no tubes pushed through). The headers have the O2 buungs welded into the collectors.

We also have the option for the same headers with the emission tubes that will work on the 94-97 Camaro/Firebirds.

Feel free to call or email me with any questions.

Thanks
Chris

HI Chris,
Sorry it took so long to get back with you on the headers, but there great! I finally got a chance to dyno the car this past Saturday at Corvette Masters in Orlando. The dyno numbers are below. The converter was costing me some HP because I am using a TCI 4200 converter (the price was right) and we know it is robbing some HP.
The best thing about the Jet Hots is qualitity, fit, finish and sound, when I rolled up in the car everyone wanted to know about the headers and exhaust system. I was on the first group purchase and would buy them again in a heartbeat.

These headers are going on the new motor when I do the rebuild to a 383.

These are the details:

Motor with 20,950 miles (it is a long story), Jet Hot LT headers, New 95 converted Opti Spark, Comp Extream cam 230 x 236 x 112; Comp 1.6 RR's, MSD 8.5 mm wires w/looms, New NGK TR55 Plugs, TCI 9" Converter (4200) stall (yea I know too tall) but it will work for $200.

The car had water in the gas tank, got that cleaned out. The Fuel Injectors were bad so I put in 42# because the car is going to a 383 after I get finished running the car for a while. The opti was replaced and could or could not have been bad but a 95 opti is a lot cheeper when replacing, the ing. wires were old.

PCMforless is doing the tuning over the internet, we send data files and the adjust the chip program and send it to me to burn the new program into the chip.

I dyno'ed at Corvette Masters in Orlando Florida this past weekend and the car put our 305 HP and 299 foot pound of torque, no too shabby for bolt on's. The car pulled hard up to 6500 rpms and the hp started falling off. The dyno sheet had a good curve but the hp line was very jagged. One of the guys said the ignition need more spark, and recommeded an MSD 6a ignition box to give the plugs a hotter spark to burn the fuel more efficently and said the coil was probably ok???

I am running the car at Orlando Speed World this next Wednesday if it does not rain and will let you know how it does. The car is light and should turn a decent time.

The next step is 383, turbo 400 or 350 tranny; Strange HD rear end with 4:10 gears and a stall that is better suited.

Thanks again,
Jim Adams,

No, the 93 LT1 headers with the emission tubes are going to be ready by end of Nov of this year. We made a limited supply of those headers.

I wish I could say that the Jet Hot Y pipe with cats would be ready sooner.

We haven't received a big demand for the 93 LT1 headers with the emission tubes. We are making a limited number to see how they received in the market. If if works out, we will make more and a higher quantity.

Sorry if I was unclear. I was asking if you carry any y-pipes that will fit the 93 headers when they come out. I know that your y-pipe will not be complete at the time so I wanted to know if you carried other brands that fit that have cats.
