I saw how to do this a while back, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net.
Anyone know a link that shows how to build your own O2 sims?

Build your own O2 sims ??rncotton 04-30-2003, 11:31 AM I saw how to do this a while back, but I can't seem to find it anywhere on the net. Anyone know a link that shows how to build your own O2 sims? robvas 04-30-2003, 11:41 AM It's a conspiracy. They won't tell you how to do it, they sell them for $80 so showing you how to make a pair for $2 would be devastating. I've heard Mustang guys talk about wrapping them in foil? BadAndy743 04-30-2003, 05:58 PM It would all depend upon finding out if they operate using variable resistance ( which is likely) or not. Then you have to find out what an acceptable reading is and whether that reading can remain static without the computer freaking out. Bad Andy Monodax 05-01-2003, 12:52 AM The easiest circuit is to use the 1 Mfd Cap and 1 Meg 1/4w resistor mod. I should right up a schematic for it along with interfacing with our O2 sensor wires. I am sure somebody though on this board has already done this already though. chpmnsws6 05-01-2003, 12:56 AM idk, if someone comes up with something, i'll give em 20 bucks for a set! :D i need a set but am a REALLY poor teenager Monodax 05-01-2003, 12:57 AM http://www.thefbody.com/~95tsiawd/O2bypass.html This schematic is the logic, just modify it for your wire colors. rncotton 05-01-2003, 08:41 AM OK, finally found the one I was looking for. http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/oxygen_sensor_simulator/ Then I found a guy selling a pair of new in box O2 sims for $50. | ||
