Whats wrong with my factory alarm??????

I have a 1997 Camaro Convertible, A4, 70K

The factory alarm has been flipping out recently, going off when nothing has touched it! This has happened 4 times: twice just sitting out in the driveway (NO ONE touched it I am positive, no bird poo either), once at my track practice, and once during my school day (you're required to be in classes, you can't "skip" and walk outside...I KNOW no one did anything to it). It also happened in the driveway once, everyone was inside and it just went off...no one was around it.

How can I fix this problem? I am afraid to park it because it will just randomley go off. Help!

try turning the sensor down a bit. look in the spare tire well and you'll see the shock sensor. that might work

Yeah. When I had my Shock sensor hooked up, I had the same problem. I've got a '97 V6. I got to school one day, and locked/armed the car and walked away. I got about 50 feet away, the alarm went off. There wasn't anything within 30 feet of of my car. So I went back, unlocked, and shut both doors and the hatch again, thinking maybe something was open. Armed/Locked, walked away, it did it again. So I went back, opened up the hatch, and turned down the sensor. Walked away, it did it again. Go back, rip off the trim pannel and un hook the sensor, and went to class.

I haven't had time to hook it back up and mess with it yet. Dunno what was wrong. LMK if ya figure it out though
