Grinning and laughing are not the same.
:D does not denote humor, it denotes extreme happiness, which might be laughter and might not be.
This one would be perfect!

Please consider it. I find the ":D" smilie never quite gets the emotion across. We have a separate :( and :cry: , why not have a laughing emoticon?
