LT1 heads and cam parts info

I am looking for some help with parts for my 1995 Trans-Am M6. I will be installing the following:

LT1 heads ported and polished by Lloyd Elliott
Red powercoated stock LT1 intake ported for 58 mm TB
58 mm TB
Comp Cams 230/236-112 cam (0.545”/0.555” lift with the 1.6 rockers listed below)
Comp Cams 850-16 XE hydraulic roller lifter set
Comp Cams 1302-16 Pro Magnum Roller Rockers set (non self-aligning)
Comp Cams 7808-16 Hardened push rods
Comp Cams 4802-8 Guideplates
3/8” rocker studs
LT4 ED Timing Chain
Replacement Opti Spark
Water pump (the existing one is seeping)
SLP single-cat headers
Spark plugs
Spark plug wires

Is there anything I am missing / that would be recommended in a case like this? Is this the right stuff?

I will be having someone tune it for me locally. How will this thing run on the stock programming until I can get the car on the dyno to tune it?

What will the compression ratio of this setup be with a 0.030 cut on the heads? Which thickness of head gasket should I be using to get the right compression ratio (0.029 / 0.039 / 0.049)?

All this is going on a stock bottom end with just over 70k on it. The car is not a daily driver, and will only see approximately 6-8,000 miles a year with about half freeway and local driving. I don’t race. I’m more looking for a bada$$ street machine.

Thanks,

BRAD

I can at least answer that, I got my heads ported by Lloyd too. He recommended I get them milled .030 too, along with an impala head gasket (.029) puts me at 11.8:1 compression. Thats fine with 93 octane, as long as your tune is good. http://www.rosspistons.com/CR%20Calculator.htm

You can play with gasket sizes on that website to get your desired compression ratio

with a stock bottom end, I would recommend around 11.5:1 with that cam

maybe consider a 110ls, but it will idle rougher

If Jordon Musser recommends it, do it LOL, a .039 gasket and heads milled .030 puts you right at 11.5:1

BTW, the stock sized gaskets (.049) puts you at about 11.19:1 with heads milled .030, just so you know. I've did all the work, now you choose
