The wing, well I wanted something way different, and you have to believe me that it was not one of the Fast&Furious thing, I was actually trying for a LE-MANS look, as I am real Big fan of that.

The Wheels, not my favorite, but hey I got them cheap. $400 with brand new tires.

Lettering - Hey I got to represent!! I thought mine was conservative, everyone out here has Flowmaster all over their windows. I did not put my mod stickers outside.

EDIT: the picture on page 2 makes the wing seem that is way higher than the car, it is not, I just a really weird angle on it.

I give you credit for doing something typically out of the ordinary to an F-Body. Not something I would personally do to my own car but I do think it looks very good for those who like and are after that kind of appearance.

Since you asked, I would get rid of the spoiler and lettering real quick. If you like it..enjoy it!! :cool:

If you wanna go for the lemans look I would have done everything else first like racing wheels slamming it GFX etc.
and the wing last that way it doesn't come off as ,and i can't believe i'm saying this, "ricer".

50/50. I agree and disagree with some things. I totally understand what you are talking about with the le-mas look. I went for the exotic look and a lot of people actually see it when they see it in person. So I believe in person you car would look better. But just having stripes on the roof i dont like, it just doesnt flow right. I agree when someone else said slamming it with ground effects, rims and then the wing would make it look better. I put my wing on before my rims and it looked like crap. The first thing you need to do is save for a set of nice rims. But my main question is how does the exhaust sound. I want to run true duals off my hooker lt's with x-pipe and borla ZR-1's. I love the way borla catbacks sound on the camaros. Is there any way you can get a soundclip of the exhaust. Or do you at least recommend it. I give you credit for being different and at least having engine work to back up your outrageous car.:D

The wing is hideous in my opinion; the stripes on the roof dont' flow at all; the rims are ugly; and I personally have never liked that hood. Sorry but I'm being honest. I give you props and going your own route and expressing it! :bow: . Good luck with future mods! ;)

So here goes:

I hate the wing, actually it isnt the wing that bothers me, it is how freaking high the wing is.

I hate that hood, but I have seen worse.

I don't think the rims compliment the car, but I have seen worse.

I think the car would look better without the lettering, but I have seen worse.

I HATE the stripes, they look really lame in my opinion.

On the plus side, I think the car has potential if you totally re-think things over. Hope I wasn't too harsh.

The wing is very close to rice, if not rice. I like the hood, not to shabby. The wheels........well I think you could do better with some 5-spokes. If the car is really fast well then it's okay. I think you should lose the wing and those wheels.

i actually kinda like it.. i wouldnt do it personally, but for you to do it you must like it.. the lines actually kinda match... i'll tell you one thing tho, its a car that people will remember... its definately out of the ordinary..

as someone else above said "it's not my cup of tea". now when rating a camaro or firebird i always start with a 8. now the wing was way to big and aggressive for me so that takes 2 points off and the hood well , im not to much of a fan for that style of hood so that takes off another point and the rims and tires i do like so that adds 2 points. so i'd honestly rate it a 7. you should have left the wing for the ricers cus no one's going to let you hear the end of it. but hey it's your own thing, when i get done with my car it's going to look the way i want it to not the way anyone else wants it to. so if you like it, thats what matters.

kinda looks like a kite! im sure that thing is insane in the wind!

ummm those wheels are damn skinny, the wing is umm :rolleyes: the hood is ok..get some REAL wheels , not some wheels of a honda, get rid of the wing, and lower the car.

I love the exhaust tips, i've never seen camaro tips on a firebird but they fit really nice and the hood os cool, i like the wheels too. but would do the following,

1. get a stock TA spoiler they are sweet spoilers and that aluminun thing is a joke, if anything go with no spoiler, nothing wrong with that, it will really get attention.
2. give the car a good cleaning with some good polish and a good wax, the paint doesn't look as good as it could in the pics.
3. forget about stripes, they will never workwith the hood.
4. post some more pictures for us.
5. i would paint some of the interior red, i think that would look really good on a formula.

it's a really nice car, just needs some minor stuff, don't give up on it.

It looks like you're on a good path with performance mods.

However, I hope that wing gets knocked off going under an overpass or something. The stripes need to be completed, and different rims will help. As someone above mentioned, the stock TA wing is one of the best attributes visually that the car has IMHO.

I'll give you a 10 for effort, but a 2 for appearance

One question: did you remove the side moldings? I may have to remove my crusty moldings.

Loose the wing and go back to the stock T/A wing, loose the wheels with a quickness.

I like the shaved door handles and the hood is cool. Whells aren't bad either, buuuuuut the spoilre ruins it and I'd take off the racing stripes and lettering. It's a nice car though, but the wing=:barf:

Holy 727 wing Batman... I can see wanting it to be differant and it is it realy is. Lose the wing and I think it would be alot better IMO.

From reading - you haven't done bad on the performance end of it, but this is the Appearance Section, and you wanted opinions on appearance...

At first, I was honestly thinking that this was supposed to be like some of my threads (e.g. My neon green setup - for those of you who know), but noone was joking.

I can understand the hood and the wheels. If a company makes that hood for Firebird's, then people are going to buy it, so the company get's the :rolleyes: there. If you like it, that's cool.
The wheels, I don't like at all, and would never consider them - but if you are on a budget, and got a good deal in them, hey, they are something different than stock. Not neccesarily better than the stock IMO, but they are at least different.

As far as the rest (WING, lettering...)
I just don't really see how anyone driving an F-Body can seriously like that stuff. I think, if you do, then you are easily more well suited in a Honda. I can understand you are wanting to get a Le Mans look going on, but I think you are headed down the wrong path. And what's up with "Representin?" Why do you have to represent across your whole windshield in "not so nice looking" text? A simple small decal somewhere a little less conspicuous would be sufficient if you MUST "represent."

The Trans Am is one of the best looking F-Bodies from factory that there is, if not the best IMO. They are the most "racey" looking of all in my opinion. I actually think that what you have done is take away from the car. Like said, I think you should re-think what you got going, it isn't complimentary at all the potential of your car.

I drive a V-6 Camaro, and I have dual exhaust and am installing an SS hood....and people tell me my car is rice all the time, but I dont care.

I'm of the opinion that those vehicles that really do not perform well are most often the ones that have a lot "crap" on them to make it look like they really do perform.

So, I ask myself, since you have a car that actually does perform well, why are you making it look like all those others that actually can't do squat?

BTW, the wing will not produce any real results until you hit speeds in the neighbourhood of 100 mph. I'm sure you don't routinely travel at that speed, so it is actually slowing you down.

Apart from the wing, though it looks OK. BTW, I am very partial to the Z28 tips.

Wow, Glad to see my car is so controversial...I expected though, and I had to laugh with some of the comments you guys made. Really funny.

To answer your questions......

The stripes, I have yet to find a way to put them on the hood.

I will be losing the lettering but only because I will be joining another racing team. Much better design.

I am contemplating putting the stock wing back, so many people dislike the wing because they say it belongs on Honda's and such other puny vehicles. I dont know, it is something to consider.

I cannot drop the car, because of the exhaust system. Someone asked how it sounds, it sounds mellow, almost stock in loudness, but retains the distinct Dual Exhaust, Cammed, metallic deep sound comparable to that of the Mustangs. I guess you can best describe to be the same of perhaps a mystang with an x-pipe, and bassy mufflers. I like it, it is by no means loud, the car remains stealthy except at idle. Mufflers are BORLA Pro X-5 something, they have a S tunnel straigh flow design, and a little smaller than the typical flowmaster casing.

Wait to see my brother's camaro!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

4. Puting stripes on half of the car is a new concept, not good but new.

5. The hood would look better if that part where it looks like it can take in air...was made to at least "look" like it can take in air.
