Callaway is presently doing R&D on a 7L/427CI configuration using the 427CR racing block.Looks like 550HP/525 lb-ft for a 50 State version. Problem is the F-body Vert Flex even with SFC,fuel delivery system from tank to engine, driveline, hand built custom LT headers due to high exhaust ports on race heads, cooling problems(Water & Oil),ETC,ETC! This will be my first choice if all can be worked out within reason($$$$$)Second choice will be their 6.2/382 LS6 which makes 485HP/465lb/ft & is 50 state legal! Stay Tuned! :D

that car is maaaddd ugly yo... look at it and tell me the front doesn't look hideous :barf: i dont care what kind of monster engine it's gonna have, but if it's ugly(and it is), no one's gonna buy it

to me, they killed the car by re-doing the grill and the front lights... and especially the rear where they put "Callaway" where the "Camaro" name used to be

i'd rather buy a '69 camaro and stick a 502 ci big inch rat with 602hp/602tq... atleast i'd be spending my money on something that doesn't look like shiit and will pull mid to low 10's all day... 9's if you juice it up with a 200 shot... and ill make sure to put a sticker on the back window that says "Callaway Killa" lmao

oo, btw.. this is just my .o2, lol;)

The Vette looks kind of nice, I can't admit to liking the Camaro either really, but we all have different ideas on styling. The powerplants though for a 50 state legal item sound pretty nice.

Man, I really like that rear bumper. Can you buy just the rear bumper from callaway or do you have to buy the entire kit? I really just dont care for the front end. Congrats on having something unique man :)

I like the rear bumper, but the rest doesn't appeal to me. What's going on with the muffler? Custom exhaust not installed yet?

Have any wide photos from the side?

At least they got the paint color right. Looks almost like SOM. :D :p But that white top and interior have to go. They clash! The nose looks like it's sucking a lemon. I think they just got an LT1 Formula nose and cut a hole for the Camaro grille.

But I never have been a big fan of the body work on the Calloway Camaros.

Me neither, the Vettes are ok, but honestly either of these cars have european influence, not along of Camaro buyers are looking to get into a euro-coupe, otherwise we'd be driving Jaguars (Ford).

Jaguar! That's what it reminded me of. I couldn't figure it out.

*Muffler is hanging because it is not connected due to engine being out.

I think the front looks terrible (reminds me of a Jag's too) I like the rear bumper of the car alot, I'd buy it if it were available. I'm not a fan of the slits in the front and the rear by the wheels either...

Damn yo, I guess "dj haf" is just a sheep like all dem otha busta's out there. Never seen a 1st gen Camaro with a rat motor before.

I don't really care for the front end much either (reminds me of an adolescent with braces), but it will definitely be a rare car when you're done with it. :) What are your plans for it anyway? You trying to get in a mag, or is it just a weekend cruiser?

Edit: Oh yeah, this is all JMO. :thumb:

The bumper does hold a certain appeal, almost makes me think "Vette," but I can't stand fake ducting, didn't like it on the 69 Camaro either. Make it functional and usefull or take it off.

**The vents behind the front & rear wheels are funcional
**The car when finished will be a weekend cruiser
**Two Mags will be doing stories when finished
*****The motor going in has been finalized-It will be the 7L/427ci CR5R configuraton which just did 550hp/525tq on the dyno. This engine is a stump puller with 500 lb/ft starting @ 3000RPM & builds to 525lb/ft all the way to 6500RPM AND is 50 state legal.:D +++Stay tuned for more+++

Man, I love your car... I think you have done it all right with this one. I have always been a fan of the C8 body style. I think that the first series was definitely more menacing looking but that doesn't matter when you have an 427 under the hood :D
If I had my drothers I'd have gone with a metallic blue similar to the C12 but thats just me. I have to say great job. Oh, btw. I had a turbo on my car and with subframes and a 6 point rollbar i never had a problem with chassis flex. You could tie in a 6 point underneath that faux bar and make it look SCHWEET. It would be top class like everything else you are doing here.
Good luck and shoot me some pics etc.. when you get it completed.
Later,
STEW
