im about to leave for church this morning and my car didnt start, when i turned the key it clicked then no more noises. try again and one click then nothing. it happened like 5 times. cd player, lights, everything worked it wasnt dim or anything. then i gave up and was ready to call someone but tried again. pushed the clutch in turned the key and vroom. clutch switch? what should i check for? thanks

If it clicked it's probably not the clutch safety switch. I'd say it's most likely a sticky starter solenoid but it's hard to tell. One sure way to eliminate the clutch switch is to pull the wires off of it and use a paperclip to jump them together. If the problem persists, the clutch switch is fine. You can do the same thing with the neutral safety switch.

get under your car and find the starter and hit the thing that spins with a hard object to knock it lose!

HA guys i feel like a complete idiot. well my positive battery cable was loose, tight enough to let the lights and accesories work but when i turned the key the extra load made it not work. tightened it all up and its good as new
