sorry everyone...i've searched the posts and even been to a few other sites...can anyone point me to the place on how to remove the trim bezel...does it just pull off?

this site just says "remove bezel" but i don't wanna break it by just yanking:

It will pop right out. Use a screwdriver wrapped in felt or like material to pop it out. This will prevent scraping.
