Inline fuel pump NOISE?

Probably a stupid question is my inline fuel pump supposed to whine all the time. The whining does get lower but it almost always present.
Its the standard Vortech fuel pump.

I've also got a strong fuel smell coming from the drivers side engine near the rear.

Yes it is annoying, but look at the whine this way......

At least you know it's down there hammering away and supplying fuel ;)

I'd check your connections from when you installed the FMU as you had to disconnect the fuel return line to splice in the FMU

After I installed my Pro Charger and heard the fuel pump noise I was ready to take the whole kit of the car as it was loud as hell but then I changed my mind once I got into it and discovered BOOST :D

Boost is a beautiful thing:D
