I found this really nice cable for $70, wondering if it will work with my laptop for freescan and lt1edit? I have a 1995 Z28 with OBD 1 and an OBD 2 connector.

that is only the cable so it wont "read" anything. what you need is an actual interfacing cable with a chip that deciphers the PCM signals into info your scanner can read.

you get them here (http://www.akmcables.com) and they are only $65;)

Yep, thats a cable with no brains. You can buy the regular OBD I kit and just put the pins in the connector, you dont need the OBD II connector, they are usually pricey.

How about the cable and this

It for OBD 2 i just want to make sure it will still be able to read my OBD 1 computer, but plug into my ALDL port. I justwant a cable i can use on my 95, but also use to iagnose my moms 98 Grand Prix when needed. Thanks
