Why can't I get AT EFI Live5.0 to work???

:mad: I just bought autotap efi live 5.0 and I cant get it to work. What a piece of ****. Everything works until it tries to connect, and it tells me that it cant. Why? who the Funk knows. Its brand new, and anytime I pay 400 for a cd and a cable, it had better dam well work. Do you have tpo install autotap 2.x for efi live to work? Maybe its me, but that wont connect either, and it tells me that the serial number of the hardware im using is wrong. OK, im not retarded(just pissed), i know how to read the huge serial number on the registration sheet, and on the AT box as well. I paid 35 bucks to have this thing overnighted, and for what...it doesnt even work. anyone have any ideas? I checked a lot, but im open to suggestions.

I've been playing with the freeware version of EFI Live 4.1. I had to download a definition file that someone created to get it to talk to my 94. I think I got it off the EFI Live web site. Try to get some freeware to work before using EFI Live.

What hardware are you running EFI Live with? Laptop, Desktop, CPU, RAM, and type of serial port? There mey be some unforseen hardware issues.
